Hosted by UMC Utrecht
The Department of Cell Biology is one of the three departments that are part of the Centre for Molecular Medicine of the University Medical Centre Utrecht (UMCU). The Department of Cell Biology is an integrated academic centre for fundamental and translational research, and education in the fields of cell biology, cancer, stem cells and immunology. Its research fully fits within five of the six focus areas of the UMC Utrecht: Personalized Cancer Care, Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cells, Immunology and Infection, Child Health and Brain. The CMC is part of the Department of Cell Biology and facilitates electron and light microscopy-based research by providing access to state-of-the-art light and (immuno)-electron microscopy equipment and expertise for the UMCU, the Utrecht University and other partners. The CMC is a well-known centre of expertise for correlative light and electron microscopy and organizes several courses.
This workshop is directly succeeding the ‘Advanced course Correlative Light Electron Microscopy’ organised by the Cell Microscopy Core of the Department of Cell Biology of the University Medical Centre Utrecht.
Lectures are free to attend. The speakers are Nalan Liv and Job Fermie (UMC Utrecht)
For the hands-on sessions registration is required as there is a limited number of slots. We provide carousel sessions (groups will circulate), so everybody will do all 3 sessions:
A] Delphi, integrated CLEM based on SEM, hands-on with test sample; guided by Phenom-World
B] CorrSight, imaging system; guided by FEI
C] Phenom, tabletop SEM, hands-on with test sample; guided by UMCU
+ Q&A on CLEM; guided by UMCU
